Welcome to the web site for the Isleworth branch of Hung Leng Kuen Kung Fu / traditional Wu Shu. This class is taught by Dai Sifu Chris Parker (9th Duan) Chief Instructor of The World Free Spirit Federation. Martial artists of all levels are welcome from absolute beginners to advanced grades in other styles.
Hung Leng Kuen (Free Spirit Fist) Kung Fu / Wu Shu has one club based in Isleworth, with an extra lesson in Staines and a Twickenham branch opening soon. The Isleworth Club is based at Isleworth and Syon School, South West Greater London, every Tuesday and Thursday, 7.30pm - 9pm.

The Isleworth Club is local to such areas as Osterley, Heston, Hounslow, Feltham, Staines, Kew, Chiswick, Brentford, Twickenham, Richmond, Barnes, Mortlake, Hanworth, the Heathrow area, Boston Manor, Acton, Ealing, Gunnersbury and Hammersmith, the club is a short walk from Isleworth Train Station or Osterley Tube Station on the Piccadilly line.
Self Defence
Hung Leng Kuen Kung Fu / Wu Shu is a traditional martial art, made relevant for today's society. Suitable for young and old, women and men, it teaches practical, no-nonsense self-defence; the traditional animal-based forms (specifically: black leopard, tiger, dragon, praying mantis, crane, monkey, snake and eagle); weaponry (swords, staff, spear, stick-fighting and flexible weapons) and builds confidence, ability, strength, flexibility, stamina, health and well-being.
Martial Arts
You may be familiar with terms such as wing chun (short range martial art, especially suitable for women), Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do (another modern fighting system with many similarities to Hung Leng Kuen), Shaolin Long Fist and Choy Gar (long range fighting arts), Chinese boxing Muay Thai and many other styles of punching and kicking. Hung Leng Kuen Kung Fu encompasses these styles and more, being directly influenced by Tai Chi Chuan, Preying Mantis, Pak Mae (White Eyebrow), Choy Lee Fut, Pak Qua or Ba Gwa Chang as well as many other modern fighting systems.
Wu Shu
Teachers and students of Hung Leng Kuen are peace-loving and sociable.
